If you’re looking for a memorable day out, take a bike or e-bike from Richmond and follow the Great Taste Trail towards Rabbit Island and Māpua.
The journey is part of the experience. Ride through the Waimea countryside, alongside the estuary and through the forest trails of Rabbit Island before continuing towards Māpua.
Once you reach Māpua Wharf, park the bikes and take some time to explore. Grab lunch or a coffee, browse the shops and galleries, or simply relax by the water before starting your journey back to Richmond.
